Press the upper tab on the facia under the grille. Align the mounting holes and reinstall the upper, longer retained fasteners. Continue by reinstalling the lower, shorter retained fasteners. Torque the fasteners to 7 ft-lbs 10 Nm. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery and torque the fastener to 44 in-lbs 5 Nm. Turn the vehicle on and ensure proper operation of the winch. Secure the winch harness along the radiator shroud with the edge clips on the harness.
Continue by securing any excess harness to the chassis ensuring it is clear of the suspension. Secure the excess harness near the pulse bar to the bulkhead, using the edge clip on the harness.
Also secure any extra harness under the dash and near the suspension. If equipped, reinsert the USB harness into mounting hole in the storage compartment. Slide the compartment into the dashboard cavity and press into place. Reinstall the seat by aligning the front alignment tabs and pushing down on the rear to engage the rear latch.

There are four mounting bolts that are used to attach the winch to the mounting plate, which should all be tightened to 12 foot-pounds. Once this is completed, you can use the included bolts, nuts, and washers to fix the fairlead onto the front fairlead bracket. Setting your winch clutch to the free-spool mode will allow you to thread the winch line through the fairlead, after which you'll be able to install a rubber stopper, a hook, or a shackle on the terminal point of your winch line.
Most winches for the Polaris RZR come with color-coded wires and terminals, so matching the correct wires with the correct terminals on the winch, the contactor, and the busbar is pretty straightforward. Some winches can be operated with wireless remotes, while others come with wired rocker switches.
There are numerous options for mounting your winch switch. Start pushing it through. Once you have it lined up, grab your hardware. Thread it on and get it started. Do the same thing for the opposite side. Once the fairlead adapter is installed in the machine, grab the provided fairlead that comes in the winch kit. Install it, making sure that we have a washer going up against the fairlead.
Then we have a lock washer going up against the head of the Allen headed screw. So install our screw on the recessed side of the fairlead. Slide it into the hole. Take one of the provided nuts and get it started.
Then, using a six millimeter allen and a fourteen millimeter wrench, fully tighten the hardware. Make sure that you line up the notches. Push it up into place. Get your hardware started and then just go ahead and fully tighten it up. Slide it right in here. Before we bolt the winch down, grab the rope, put the winch in the free-spool mode, then take the winch rope and feed it through the fairlead. Just pull it through just like that. You just want to get a couple threads.
I like to start my bolts across from each other that way it centers up the winch. For easier access you could remove the shock.
On our hardware, we need to make sure that we have a lock washer up against the head of the bolt and then a washer going up against the solenoid. Start getting it mounted up. One quick tip that can help you for getting your bolts started into these indentions is just run them in and out a couple times on each of the holes.
