The sims 2 mansion and garden stuff patch

I am not using mods and haven't even gotten the game to actually start. Sounds like something didn't install right with the game itself. Uninstall the game and try reinstalling it. So, make sure the EA Games folder is deleted. Once we get the game running the EA Games folder should generate itself upon the first time the game is started up. Thanks for the update! It's getting so that I think I will give up playing any Sims games. It's old yet still relevant. I have the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection. I've tried nothing so far except to come here for help. I saw this thread and have the same issue, so I thought it would be okay to resurrect it. Well, I tried to repair the game and have no mods installed, so there wasn't much I thought I could do. It's version 2 found on SimNetwork. And also apply the 4GB patch as well. Those both seem to get rid of the DirectX error as that is mostly caused by the game not recognizing your newer graphics card.
