Cannot install sprint smartview

I downloaded the stand alone SPbit, opened msconfig, used selective startup with startup items unchecked and all but Microsoft services disabled, restarted clean boot , and used downloaded installer. After installation, with my USBmodem still plugged in, I was able to connect to the internet as normal, all the drivers were where they are supposed to be, and you'd think it was a success.

But, after removing the USBmodem, ALL the drivers associated with it dissappear, and reconnecting it to the computer, it installs only 2 drivers associated with it of which one is generic MS driver. SYS After typing this stuff in, I noticed drivers vs. If this is the problem, the SP2 needs just a small tweak. Thanks for any additional assistance.
